Today was probably our hardest day of work so far. We finally finished emptying both storage closets, throwing away the trash, building shelves, and organizing everything back in the closet. There were tiles, cement blocks, and rebar to move--lots of heavy carrying! We also sorted through many boxes of donated clothes. Some of the clothes went to the women today, so it was encouraging to see some of our hard work pay off.
We have been blessed with, as mentioned previously, the best driver in Costa Rica--Fernando. He has been incredibly flexible and accommodating in picking us up at different times everyday. He also is like a walking history lesson, and teaches us much about Costa Rica.
Highlight of the day was definitely an aerobics class! Unfortunately, only two of the women at Rahab were interested, so Erica, Michelle, and I (Joni) joined the ladies upstairs. Not only were we sweating from the intense 100 degree room, but our instructor had us squatting, dipping, and kicking until our legs shook.
It's international museum day, so some of us are heading to the National Museum tonight for a free tour.
Carol is leaving for Colorado in the morning. We are so grateful for her time with us and are praying for safe travels for her tomorrow! We love you, Carol!
Here are some pictures from today--enjoy!
We found a great lunch spot! Friendly owners, great tacos and burritos,
and awesome mango juice!
Dutch Blitz--how we spend our evenings!
