Erica was able to sleep a few hours when the fab four arrived back at AMCA (our hostel). Around noon we all headed back to Rahab, where we finished cleaning out a VERY messy storage closet, complete with cinder blocks, floor tiles, computers, and much more. Turns out clearing it completely out wasn't entirely necessary but we learned the value of a hard day's work and enjoyed each others company.
Latest trends: JT climbing mango trees, a delicious little restaurant called El Sauce, JT eating mangos with lime and salt (talk about high blood pressure!), Hannah's game called Dutch Blitz, and our affirmation that we really ARE driver Fernando's favorite group of all time (Julie keeps asking).
Hannah still makes quirky facial expressions. Michelle's laugh is still contagious. Joni will always have a fun nutritional fact about everything, and KJ gives the BEST massages.
I (Joelle) think that might be all for now. We are safe and thoroughly enjoying our time in Costa Rica. Going to Cartoga and the valley of Orosi (complete with a GORGEOUS river) was just what we needed yesterday to relax and recuperate from the exhaustion of being in another country.
Please pray for our team as we have found that patience and flexibility have been a big theme for this particular trip.
Support from each other has been amazing and I know that God has put these specific people together for this trip. Thanks for reading, we'll be sure to update you more now that our fearless staff leader has arrived!!! Adios! Oh, and please post comments! We'd love to hear from you!
We are SO grateful that the team is having such a great time together. We Call, and HE Answers! And, we are very thankful that Erica has safely joined "the troops."
ReplyDeleteI'll see if I can overnight you guys some patience and flexibility... it might cost a lot, but we'll do what it takes ;)

You are in our prayers! We love Team Costa Rica.
