In Two Weeks

In two weeks, nine of us will depart for San Jose, Costa Rica: Julie, JT, Michelle, Hannah, Matt, Kirsten, Joelle, Joni, and Erica. We know that that after those two weeks, our lives will never be the same. We know that the Lord has big plans for us, mostly because this trip is something of a miracle. Our first plan for our trip fell completely apart, and we existed with no destination for over a month. After countless emails to human trafficking organizations all over the world, the Rahab Foundation responded, and our journey began.

Our Plan looks something like this....

Teaching computer skills classes

Working with a social worker on home visits

Playing with kids whose mothers are learning life after prostitution

Building a jungle gym and painting a mural on the playground

Teaching Pilates :)

Riding a zip line through the Rain Forest

Organizing, cleaning, and building a storage room

Walking the streets handing out information on Rahab

Learning the public transportation system of San Jose

Laughing with and learning about each other

Making meals for the women at the center

Encouraging the full-time staff of Rahab

Listening to stories of women whose lives have been nothing that we can imagine

We pray that during these three weeks we will love well and that by nothing but the grace of God that we will become Jesus to some women who desperately need Him. We hope that you'll join us in prayer as we finish our preparations and then embark on our journey.
